Jeannie McCarron has served as CAP’s Director since 2006, starting as CAP’s Manager of Communication & Conference Services in 2004. Jeannie was among the first employees of CAP when it began as a grant-funded organization with the support of the Lumina Foundation for Education. Jeannie has witnessed the organization evolve into a self-sustaining, mission-driven organization serving over 120 Institutions from across the U.S., giving credit to consistently exemplary Executive Boards and an incredibly active and passionate membership. Jeannie began her career in management consulting and sales, working for companies such as Procter & Gamble, Coopers & Lybrand, Honeywell, Inc., & Kohler Co.
Jeannie earned a Master of Nonprofit Management degree from Regis University, and holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Psychology from Colorado State University and the University of Colorado, Denver, respectively. On weekends you will find Jeannie happily carting her three sons around, experimenting in the kitchen, practicing hot yoga, reading, writing/blogging, dabbling in watercolor painting, celebrating life with close friends and family, and enjoying the beautiful bike paths and sunsets of Colorado.
