Faculty Development in Accelerated Programs:

CAP Certification Training for Faculty in Accelerated Programs

For the first time, CAP is offering a Faculty Development Certification Course for those teaching in accelerated programs. This course includes research-based techniques that are based on the CAP Quality Standards, and includes training for classroom-based and online courses. This all-day course will provide faculty tools and skills that CAP has identified as theFaculty Development Certification Course most critical in teaching accelerated courses.  The initial course will take place as a pre-conference event at the 2017 CAP Conference in Denver on July 18th. This course can also be delivered on your campus as a faculty development event for your affiliate faculty, and can include both face-to-face and online components.  EACH PARTICIPANT WILL BE AWARDED A CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION, AND WILL BE LISTED ON CAP’S WEBSITE AS BEING CERTIFIED IN CAP FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES.

In addition, CAP will launch its Faculty Development Series in Accelerated Programs

This publication resource will provide the latest research and best practices in Faculty Development in Accelerated Programs, and will correspond with the Faculty Certification Course that will train and certify the best faculty for adult learners.
